| About Aurorawarn | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Warnings of Middle and/or Low Latitude Auroral Activity (also known as the "Northern Lights", "Aurora Australis" or "Aurora Borealis") are distributed through this list. Warnings differ from Watches. A warning is only issued when conditions are currently capable (or are soon expected to become capable) of producing strong auroral displays over wide-spread middle and/or low latitude regions, whereas a watch is issued when there is much less certainty or when conditions might only produce isolated or sporadic periods of activity. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Aurorawarn Archives. |
