SYNOPSIS OF ACTIVITY
--------------------

Solar activity was very low. New region 976 (S09E27)
is classified as a bxo group, with magnetic class beta.

Solar activity forecast: solar activity is expected to be very
       low.

The geomagnetic field was quiet. The greater than 2 mev electron
flux at geosynchronous orbit reached high levels today.

Geophysical activity forecast: the geomagnetic field is
expected to be quiet through the forecast period.
