SYNOPSIS OF ACTIVITY
--------------------

Solar activity increased to low levels today. Region
       958 (S13E49) continues to show decay. A C2 x-ray flare occurred at
30/1349Z and it is believed to have had a source region just off the
east limb near S09E90. No new regions were numbered today.

Solar activity forecast: solar activity is expected to be at
       very low to low levels.

The geomagnetic field was at quiet levels. The greater than 2 mev
electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached high levels today.

Geophysical activity forecast: the geomagnetic field is
expected to be at predominantly quiet levels throughout the forecast
       period.
