SYNOPSIS OF ACTIVITY
--------------------
Solar activity was very low. The visible solar disk
remains spotless.
Solar activity forecast: solar activity is expected to be very
low.
The geomagnetic field was quiet to active conditions. Real-time
solar wind speeds have shown a decline from last reporting period at
670 km/s. Speeds are now averaging around 540 km/s with bz
continuing to range from +/- 4 nt. The greater than 2 mev electron
flux at geosynchronous orbit reached high levels.
Geophysical activity forecast: the geomagnetic field is
expected to be quiet to unsettled with isolated active conditions
for 28-30 october.
