SYNOPTICAL INFORMATION
----------------------

     Auroral activity is now summarized by the presence (or absense) of
ground-based sighting reports. Forecast conditions can be inferred through
the geomagnetic activity forecast section of the daily summary report of

               SUMMARY OF GROUND-BASED AURORAL ACTIVITY SIGHTINGS

0030 UTC - (N46.50 W086.25) - Ann Arbor, Michigan 
           Comments: I saw what looked like a long thin stripe of white in a
           completely clear sky.  There was a fainter long stripe at what
           would be a 40 degree angle to the first stripe if they were
           connected.  Our home is located about 5 miles from the center of
           Ann Arbor so less light distraction than in town.
