SYNOPTICAL INFORMATION
----------------------

     Auroral activity is now summarized by the presence (or absense) of
ground-based sighting reports. Forecast conditions can be inferred through
the geomagnetic activity forecast section of the daily summary report of
solar and geophysical activity. Near real-time conditions can be determined

               SUMMARY OF GROUND-BASED AURORAL ACTIVITY SIGHTINGS

0837 UTC - (N59.68 W151.67) - Homer, Alaska 
           Comments: Bright aurora visible through thickening clouds and in
           spite of bright moonlight - spectacular-(some where else!) 
 
0852 UTC - (N45.00 W091.50) - Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin 
           Comments: AURORAS from Midnight and past 3am CST West Central
           Wisconsin. Clouds to the south but clear view to the north. Check
           out my images on www.WilderImaging.com to compare my scene to
           yours. I hope someone else can see the brightness of tonights gow.
           What a real treat. Arcs, beams, swirls........
