SUMMARY OF GROUND-BASED AURORAL ACTIVITY SIGHTINGS
               --------------------------------------------------

(Sightings are preliminary and may be unverified)

0449 UTC - (N45.75 W093.00) - duluth, mn
Comments: Diffuse green glow 15 degrees from horizon. Nothing to
write home about, but its just starting now.

0450 UTC - (N43.03 W084.00) - Elsie, Michigan
Comments: Nice arc, weak rays. This the second consecutive weekend
           with a visible aurora.

0535 UTC - (N43.00 W084.56) - Saint Johns, MI
Comments: First time seeing them this calendar year. They were
present during my trips to Sault Ste. Marie and Hornepayne,
           Ontario...but so were the clouds.

0545 UTC - (N48.00 W101.15) - Ward County, North Dakota USA
Comments: I observed a brief, but nice display of green aurora.
There continues to be a dim diffuse green glow at this time but it
is not worth standing outside to watch.

0700 UTC - (N64.75 W147.00) - 5 miles northeast of Delta Junction, AK
Comments: Very neat display. The green arcs are tracking further
south since 0600 UTC. At times, there are smaller curtains that
appear along the arcs and have a reddish tint on the bottom edge.
At the time of this observation, there are around 4 sepaate green
arcs directly overhead, but they are very faint (07:38 UTC, 11:38
           ADT)
