SUMMARY OF GROUND-BASED AURORAL ACTIVITY SIGHTINGS
--------------------------------------------------
(Sightings are preliminary and may be unverified)
0039 UTC - (N53.56 E010.33) - Witzhave near Hamburg (Germany)
Comments: The aurora was only detectable by digital camera. Due to
cirrus clouds a variation in brightness of the near horizon
environment could not be observed visually.
The digital images show the upper red fringes of the far away
auroral arc.

0319 UTC - (N54.33 W113.91) - Dapp
Comments: very nice aurora, in the first hour just green but later
on green and purple, Aurora Oval moved South during 1,5h
from the North Horizion to direct overhead
0430 UTC - (N45.75 W114.00) - Anaconda, Montana
Comments: So very happy to have an aurora sighting last night.
With company up for a visit from Arkansas, it was a special treat
for the last night of their visit here to Anaconda. It was a
quiet, sutle display with some brightening at times with somebeams.
Even had a couple of shooting stars thrown in as well.
0456 UTC - (N49.50 W093.00) - Thunder Bay Ontario
Comments: The most spectacular sighting in my lifetime. Backyard
faces NNW...curtains from E to SSW and have been non-stop now for
nearly 2 hours. so far several signifcant spikes and streaks have
been bright enough to read in the back yard - even wit some normal
street light polution.
0543 UTC - (N33.46 W094.07) - Texarkana, TX
Comments: Very faint green/gray glow to the north with rapid faint
gray "rays" almost directly over-head. They "rays" seemed to
intersect the galactic between Ursa Major and Cassiopeia in line
with and covering Polaris. Very rare sighting!
0546 UTC - (N47.15 W119.16) - MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON
Comments: I saw a glow and then the glow got brighter and then it
slowly became more diffuse, it's still going on. It's awesome! I
didn't want to go inside but it was getting cold out. I hadn't seen
the aurora in quite some time, it was a very welcome sght, Awesome
Dude!!!
0600 UTC - (N46.50 W111.75) - Bozeman, Montana
Comments: The first time I have ever seen the aurora, so some of my
estimates may not be "correct." Saw the aurora for aproximately 2+
hours. We were east of Bozeman, MT. t peaked about 11:30PM MST
with varing degrees of brightness and spikes towards he zenith.
Very pretty, I am impressed!!
0600 UTC - (N53.18 W113.49) - Leduc,Alberta,Canada
Comments: Long rays from zenith to horizon.display stretching from
NW to E .Greenish colour with red edges to the brighter rays .

Comments: ARCS AND CURTAIN ACTIVITY! ITS HAPPENING!! WHO'S GOT
