SUMMARY OF GROUND-BASED AURORAL ACTIVITY SIGHTINGS
--------------------------------------------------
(Sightings are preliminary and may be unverified)
0445 UTC - (N62.39 E159.32) - Shageluk, Alaska, USA
Comments: I haven't made many reports this winter but wanted to get
in at least one or two more before the skies were too light. Lucky
me! A nice arc at 45 degrees with color bands at the east terminal
end of the arc. Not very bright but noticeable. very faint glow
of twilight can be seen northeast.
1300 UTC - (N59.70 W151.75) - Homer, Alaska
Comments: Since nothing visible at 09:00, slept. Woke to an arc at
25 degrees alt. at 13:00. Faint rays in NW. Mostly obscured by
twilight by 13:15.
