SYNOPTICAL INFORMATION
----------------------
Auroral activity is now summarized by the presence (or absense) of
ground-based sighting reports. Forecast conditions can be inferred through
the geomagnetic activity forecast section of the daily summary report of
solar and geophysical activity. Near real-time conditions can be determined

SUMMARY OF GROUND-BASED AURORAL ACTIVITY SIGHTINGS

0800 UTC - (N59.75 W151.75) - Homer-Anchor Point, Alaska
Comments: Just after 08:00 UT a low arc rapidly appeared where none
was before filling in from east to west. Arc remained at about 10
degrees alt.for the next four hours fading and brightening several
times. Modest breakup around 11:20 and pulsing, motled sky after
11:30 to about 40 degrees alt.
