SYNOPTICAL INFORMATION

Auroral activity is now summarized by the presence (or absense) of
ground-based sighting reports. Forecast conditions can be inferred through
the geomagnetic activity forecast section of the daily summary report of
solar and geophysical activity. Near real-time conditions can be determined

SUMMARY OF GROUND-BASED AURORAL ACTIVITY SIGHTINGS

0605 UTC - (N55.60 W105.15) - La Ronge Sk. Canada
Comments: Just went out for a minute at midnight the aurora was
very faint at first, the arc became more defined and then
brightened. Wave action was seen amd then they started to fade.
0645 UTC - (N60.00 W112.00) - Fort Smith NT
Comments: Edges of glow show slight pink tinge - slow waving action
